According to a foreign news agency, people took to the streets in Kenya against the government’s proposed tax hike. Meanwhile, 10 people were killed by police firing.
Hundreds of protesters stormed the parliament building in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. Protesters entered the building and set fire to different parts. On this occasion, the police fired directly to disperse the protesters.
The police fired tear gas shells and water cannons to disperse the protesters, the protesters pelted stones at the police vehicles.
