Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered to end unannounced load shedding across the country.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shahbaz Sharif on the issues of load shedding and stopping power theft, in which the Ministry of Energy while giving a briefing said that load shedding is being done only on loss-making feeders.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to end unannounced load shedding and said that the period of load shedding should also be reduced on loss-making feeders.
He said that due to the intensity of heat, people are facing problems, it is the responsibility of all concerned institutions to stop electricity theft, people should be given relief in heat.
The meeting was also briefed on the meeting with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur. It was told that Chief Minister KP has assured to reduce electricity theft.
According to sources, the Prime Minister appreciated the progress made in the meeting with the Chief Minister KP.
