Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a high-level emergency meeting expressing deep concern over the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that Federal Minister of Kashmir Affairs Amir Maqam, Minister of Energy, Minister of Food Security will also attend and the Prime Minister will be briefed on the issue of Azad Kashmir, on the situation arising in Azad Kashmir due to the protest of the People’s Action Committee. will be considered.
Sources said that important decisions are expected in the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, apart from this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also meet the party leadership of Muslim League (N) Azad Kashmir.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had contacted the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Haq and informed him of his concern and hoped that the issue would be resolved.
Shahbaz Sharif had said that he urges all the parties to resort to peaceful methods to resolve the demands.
The Prime Minister said that unfortunately in the chaotic situation, some elements are quick to score political points.
Shabhaz Sharif said that dialogue, debate and peaceful protest are the beauty of democracy, hope that the issue will be resolved soon.
The Prime Minister had also directed all the officials of Muslim League-N Azad Kashmir to talk to the leaders of the Action Committee.
