The idea of a hotel room on wheels sounds like something out of a science fiction movie. But scientists are trying hard to turn this concept into reality soon.
Researchers at technology company Shoyo have come up with a plan to create ‘Swift Pods’ to tackle long, boring car journeys.
The renderings show a large in-car sleeping pod with room for two passengers to rest on the go.
Passengers will not even need to stop the vehicle if they feel the need for some food or drink during the journey as this vehicle will also provide snacks and drinks.
The Swift Pod is based on a simple idea that aims to cover long distances at a reasonable speed without affecting sleep.
In a blog post, Shoyo said that the alluring idea of a night train journey and waking up at the destination after sleep always piques our interest.
The design of this car is triangular and it has two single size beds for two passengers. Passengers can choose to sit on the seat or lie on the comfortable bed during the journey.
