Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) formally announced the names of the coaches of the national team.
It has been announced that Jason Gillespie will be the head coach of the Pakistan team for the red ball format, while Gary Kirsten will be the head coach for the white ball format, while Azhar Mahmood will be the assistant coach in all formats.
The coaches of all three formats have been appointed for a period of 2 years, with Jason Gillespie joining the Pakistan squad for the tour of Bangladesh and Gary Kirsten for the tour of England.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi while announcing the coaches said that the vast experience of Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten will provide the best guidance to the Pakistan team.

It was reported on April 6 that former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie will be the coach in Test cricket, while Gary Kirsten from South Africa will coach in T20 and ODI format.
On the other hand, to work as an assistant to both the coaches, the PCB had published an advertisement on March 30, in which level two coaching courses are demanded, but it has also been clarified that level three or higher coaching courses. Preference will be given to those who do, while teaching cricketers, speaking and writing English is also a must.
It should be noted that Gary Kirsten has made the India and South African team the world number one in Test cricket, while under the coaching of Jason Gillespie, Yorkshire has won the county championship twice.
