In the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 in France, Pakistani athlete Ghulam Mustafa Bashir was eliminated in the first stage of the 25m rapid pistol round.
Another Pakistani athlete has dropped out of the Paris Olympics 2024, after which all hopes are now on Arshad Nadeem. Pakistani swimmers, shooters and runners have been eliminated from the event.
In the 25m rapid pistol event at the Paris Olympics yesterday, GM Bashir scored a total of 581 points in two rounds of qualification for Pakistan and failed to make it to the top six shooters who made it to the medal round.
Ghulam Mustafa scored 292 points in the first phase. GM Bashir scored 98 points in the first series of 8 seconds, 99 points in the second series of 6 seconds and 95 points in the 4 seconds series.
In the second leg, GM Bashir’s scores were 97, 97 and 95 in three series, which was not enough to get him into the top 6. Out of 29 athletes, GM Bashir finished 15th in the second round.
Thus, on the tenth day of Paris Olympics 2024, 6 out of 7 players who have represented Pakistan so far will return home empty-handed.
It should be noted that the athlete Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan will be seen showing his essence in the javelin throw competition on August 6, from which a lot of hopes are being attached.
