KARACHI: Pakistan’s national space agency Sparco, the communication satellite Paksat MM-1, has reached the earth’s orbit.
According to Sparco spokesperson, Pakistan’s second communication satellite, Paksat MM-1, which was sent into space on May 30, reached its earth orbit, Paksat MM-1 is located at an altitude of 38,786 kilometers from the earth.
The satellite is located in Earth orbit at 2.38 east, the 5 ton Pak Sat MM1 is equipped with the latest communication equipment which will provide the fastest internet facility across the length of the country.
According to spokesperson Sparco, after reaching the orbit, the solar panels of the satellite have started to be used. He said that various tests will be conducted on the satellite to check its health in the earth orbit.
