ISLAMABAD: Pakistan rejected the statement of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the political tension between the government and the opposition as frivolous.
On the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan clearly rejects the frivolous statement of the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan yesterday. This statement is an unacceptable and condemnable interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan.
The spokesman said that instead of lecturing a democratic country, the Afghan government should focus on solving its own domestic problems, including providing women and girls with the right to education.
The spokesman said that the Afghan government should fulfill its commitments to the international community to prevent its country from once again becoming a center of global terrorism and not to allow terrorist groups to use its territory. Peace and security in the countries are facing serious threats.
He said that Pakistan is committed to peace, dialogue and cooperation in the region and expects all states, including Afghanistan, to abide by the fundamental principles of responsible international conduct and inter-state relations.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan said in its statement yesterday that the regional stability is threatened by the growing tension between the government and the opposition party PTI.
