KARACHI: Pakistan Refinery Limited will soon sign an extension agreement with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The agreement will pave the way for the upgrading and expansion of PRL’s existing project, which will increase PRL’s refining capacity from 50,000 barrels per day to 100,000 barrels per day.
The project will enable PRL to produce Euro-5 standard fuel, which will save the company billions of rupees in fines for non-compliance with environmental regulations.
The signing of the extension agreement will also significantly increase the concessions offered in the amended brownfield policy approved in February 2024.
