Peshawar: The Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has approved the Eid package worth Rs 1 billion 15 crore and other schemes.
A provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, in which members, chief secretary, IGP and related administrative secretaries participated.
In the meeting, it was approved to give Eid package to deserving people in the province, under this package, 1000 deserving people will be given 10, 10 thousand rupees in each constituency of the provincial assembly. This package will cost 1.15 billion rupees. The cabinet also approved giving an Eid package of Rs 10,000 to the families of 2,050 police martyrs.
Apart from this, a scheme for providing vehicles and other modern equipment to the police in the merged districts was approved, under which vehicles and modern equipment will be purchased at a cost of 7.67 billion rupees.
The Cabinet constituted a committee on the issue of conducting screening tests from private testing agencies for recruitment in government departments, which will give final recommendations on other related matters including capacity building of government testing agencies within 15 days.
The Cabinet meeting also approved the Digital Right of Way Policy. The meeting also approved the agreement between Information Technology Board and Special Technology Zone Authority for the establishment of Pakistan Digital City. Apart from this, the rules for the appointment of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee members Pedu were approved in the meeting.
