Srinagar: The party of Indian army going for military operation in Doda district of Occupied Kashmir faced severe resistance.
According to Indian media, the Indian Army along with other security forces had arrived to conduct a joint operation on the information of the presence of militants in a forest of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
However, instead of arresting the armed men, they resisted fiercely and the exchange of fire continued for 4 hours in the night, in which a captain of the Indian Army was killed while a civilian was injured.
After the failed operation at night and the death of the captain, the operation was called off and the search operation was resumed when fresh troops arrived in the morning.
Security forces also recovered an American-made M4 assault rifle and 4 blood-soaked bags containing equipment and logistics from the encounter site.
The Indian Army has claimed that there are blood stains on the equipment found at the encounter site and elsewhere. From which it appears that the armed men are seriously injured and are sheltering somewhere nearby and may be 4 in number.
It may be noted that this encounter in Occupied Kashmir took place a day before India’s Independence Day celebrations when Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was presiding over a security meeting with the Army and National Security Adviser.
It should be remembered that a commanding officer, a major and a deputy superintendent of police were killed by terrorists in the same area in September last year and an Indian soldier was killed and another injured in an encounter in Kupwara district last month. was
