Nora Fatehi Summoned to Delhi Court as Witness in Rs 200 Million Extortion Case
Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi has been summoned by a Delhi court to appear as a prosecution witness in a Rs 200 million extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
According to Indian media reports, the court has directed the actress to appear on November 2, 2026, before the Rouse Avenue Court, where proceedings in the high-profile case are underway.
Fatehi has been listed as Prosecution Witness No. LW-3 in the third supplementary chargesheet filed in connection with allegations that Chandrashekhar extorted approximately Rs 200 million from Aditi Singh, wife of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh, between 2020 and 2021.
Investigators allege that Chandrashekhar continued operating his extortion scheme while being lodged in Delhi’s Rohini Jail. He reportedly impersonated a senior government official and promised Aditi Singh that he could help secure her husband’s release in exchange for money.
The Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing investigated the matter and filed a chargesheet under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
During the investigation, Nora Fatehi was also questioned about her alleged interactions with Chandrashekhar and his wife, Leena Maria Paul. Her statement was reportedly recorded before a magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to reports, the actress told investigators that Chandrashekhar’s wife was the person through whom she came into contact with him. She was also questioned about attending an event in Chennai in December 2020.
Importantly, Nora Fatehi has been summoned as a prosecution witness, not as an accused, and her scheduled appearance on November 2 is part of the ongoing judicial proceedings.
