Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the position of president of Muslim League-N has always been considered as a trust which he is returning to his leader.
While resigning as PML-N President, the Prime Minister wrote that reiterating his firm commitment to party principles and values, I am writing this on an important occasion in the party’s history.
Shahbaz Sharif said that in 2017, Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was unjustly deprived of the Prime Ministership and the chairmanship of the party. Our party and leadership faced all the difficulties with courage and determination.
He said that Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had entrusted me with the leadership of the Jamaat during the trial period. Tried to fulfill this duty with full honesty and passion.
The former League president said that the acquittal of my beloved Quaid is a testimony to his honorable character and spotless past of service to the nation. I have always considered this position as a trust which I am returning to my leader to lead the country and the party.
He further said that after the general elections of 2024, the Jamaat made me the Prime Minister, I reiterate the pledge of unwavering loyalty to our beloved leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has resigned from the party presidency.
