Islamabad hosts a Palestine conference urging Muslim unity, peaceful protests, and boycotts to support Gaza amid Israeli aggression.

National Palestine Conference in Islamabad:

The National Palestine Conference took place in Islamabad and brought together many Islamic scholars, political leaders, and members of civil society. The main aim of this conference was to talk about the current crisis in Gaza and discuss the responsibilities of Muslim countries in supporting the people of Palestine. The event became a strong platform where voices were raised against Israeli aggression, and essential suggestions were made to help Palestinians.

Duty of Muslim Governments:

Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a prominent Islamic scholar and former Federal Shariat Court judge, gave one of the conference’s most significant remarks. He urged all Muslim countries to take significant action against Israel’s brutality in his impassioned speech.

He claimed that all Muslim countries now had a religious obligation to practice jihad. which is the defence of persecuted Muslims. Mufti Usmani questioned why the Palestinian people are not receiving assistance from major Muslim armies. He claimed that if these forces do not defend suffering Muslims, they are not doing their duty.

Criticised the United Nations (UN) and the United States, saying that they are not doing enough and instead are supporting Israel. He strongly urged Muslims around the world to boycott Israeli products and also avoid products from countries that support Israel. According to him, the economic boycott is a peaceful and powerful way to resist oppression.

Peaceful Protests According to Islamic Teachings:

Mufti Usmani stated unequivocally that violence is not acceptable, even as he discussed the necessity of action. Islam forbids injuring innocent people or damaging property, he reminded everyone. He underlined that all demonstrations have to be nonviolent and adhere to Sharia law. Protests, in his opinion, ought to be civil, well-planned, and free from any harm. He urged Muslims to peacefully and respectfully express their emotions, as this is permitted in Islam.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Message:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman also spoke at the gathering. He expressed agreement with Mufti Usmani’s opinions and stated that Muslim nations have to unite in support of the Palestinians.

He discussed the suffering that Palestinians have endured throughout history and referred to Israel as a terrorist state. He reminded everyone that Palestinians have been suffering ever since they lost their homes and land in 1948.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also blasted Pakistan’s economic reliance on the West, claiming that it hinders the ability to take decisive action. He declared that a million people would march through Karachi in support of the Palestinian people. According to him, this would send a strong but nonviolent statement to the world that Muslims support Gaza.

Final Declaration of the Conference:

All participants reached a consensus on a common declaration after the meeting. The violence and war crimes occurring in Gaza were denounced in this document. It claimed that about 200,000 Palestinians had been wounded and over 55,000 had been martyred.

According to the proclamation, bombings of schools, hospitals, and other public buildings constitute genocide. It is a crime against humanity to demolish these locations where people seek assistance.

The UN Security Council was also held accountable in the declaration for failing to put an end to the carnage. It reaffirmed Mufti Usmani’s teaching that all Muslims have a responsibility to practice jihad to defend oppressed Muslims.

Special Day Announced:

One major decision taken during the conference was to observe a special day. It was decided that the coming Friday would be known as the “Day of the Oppressed and Detained Palestinians.” This day will be used to:

  • Hold peaceful protests and rallies.
  • Raise awareness about the crisis in Gaza.
  • Urge Muslim governments to take stronger actions.

The goal is to show the world that Muslims care deeply about their Palestinian brothers and sisters and will not stay silent.

Wake-Up Call for the Muslim Ummah:

This conference sent a strong message to all Muslim countries and communities. It reminded them of their moral and religious responsibility to support those who are being attacked and treated unfairly. Many speakers expressed frustration that not enough is being done and that it is time for real, meaningful action.

The calls are for:

  • Economic boycotts
  • Peaceful protests
  • Diplomatic pressure
  • United Muslim response

Unity, Awareness and Action:

Palestine Conference in Islamabad has opened a new chapter of hope and responsibility. It showed that many people are not just watching the news but are ready to stand up and make a difference.

This conference encouraged people to

  • Educate others about what is happening in Palestine
  • Refuse to buy Israeli products.
  • Take part in peaceful protests.
  • Demand stronger action from Muslim governments

It also reminded leaders that they must use their power and position to protect the oppressed, instead of staying silent or weak.

Conclusion:

There was more to the National Palestine Conference than meets the eye. In terms of justice, solidarity, and action for the Palestinian cause, it was a definite and powerful move. The event gained significant relevance due to the attendance of famous academics and leaders.

It was evident from their statements and the concluding statement that the moment to take action is now. Muslims everywhere are being urged to band together, speak out, and engage in nonviolent acts that have the potential to effect genuine change. This conference has reminded the world that Palestine is not alone and that many people stand with them in their struggle for freedom and dignity.
