Karachi: People’s Party’s Murad Ali Shah was elected Sindh Chief Minister for the third time.
A meeting of the Sindh Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Owais Qadir Shah. People’s Party member Nader Magsi took the oath of membership in the House. Independent members of PTI protested in the House. He came in front of the Speaker Dice and raised slogans of disapproval of the rigged election. Independent members supported by PTI did not participate in the voting.
The candidate of Pakistan People’s Party, Murad Ali Shah, was once again elected as the Chief Minister of Sindh. A total of 148 votes were cast. Murad Ali Shah got 112 votes and MQM Pakistan’s candidate Ali Sohariya got 36 votes.
Syed Owais Shah Speaker and Anthony Naveed Deputy Speaker of PPP were elected Sindh Assembly yesterday. Syed Owais Shah of PPP was elected Speaker.
