Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party and Muslim League-N convinced MQM to support Asif Zardari.
After negotiations with Pakistan People’s Party and Muslim League-N, MQM Pakistan also announced to give Asif Zardari co-vote for the president.
A delegation consisting of Yousuf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Khursheed Shah, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Azam Nazir Tarar under the leadership of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar and other leaders late at night.
The delegation of the allied parties requested MQM to vote for Asif Zardari for the presidency while assuring them to work together after listening to their concerns, on which MQM Pakistan announced its support for Asif Zardari.
On this occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Asif Zardari will be elected president with a huge majority and Malikar will try to solve the problems of Karachi.
Earlier, MQM leaders also met the Prime Minister on the occasion of dinner on behalf of the Prime Minister, in which Shahbaz Sharif also requested them to vote for Asif Zardari. Asif Ali Zardari will host a dinner in honor of the members of the coalition parties today.
