Thatta: Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that he would welcome Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if there is an environment for purposeful talks.
JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman while talking to the media said that no proposal of a grand alliance against the government has come up yet, we are going to hold a million march in Peshawar on May 9.
He said that one aspect of the arrest of founder PTI is legal while the other aspect is also political. We have had meetings with PTI delegations. They will be welcomed if an environment is created for purposeful negotiations.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that public representation is not visible in the country. We want a real system to be established in the country.
It should be noted that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has declared the February 8 general elections as rigged while other parties including PTI also have reservations about the election results.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and other political parties have agreed to run a joint movement against the government, but Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is not a part of it. Now PTI is trying to include Maulana Fazlur Rehman with them.
