LAHORE: The price of LPG has come down in the country, after which LPG is likely to become cheaper next week as well.
According to Chairman LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar, as a result of the fight between local distributors and importers of LPG, the price has come down by Rs 60 to Rs 70 from Rs 250 to Rs 180 per kg.
He said that OGDCL has reduced the cost of production as 3 ships of imported LPG arrive at Karachi port and another ship of LPG will reach Pakistan in two to three days, after which the price will be reduced. I will decrease further.
Irfan Khokhar said that Ogra had fixed the price of LPG at Rs 238 but the mafia was selling it at Rs 240 to 250 per kg. OGRA and other government agencies also remained silent spectators to the blackmailing of the LPG mafia. OGDCL reduced the price to reward only a few people.
He further said that OGDCL has reduced the production price of eligible PG to 32 thousand metric tons, after which the production price of LPG has been reduced from 162 thousand metric tons to 130 thousand. has arrived and all the LPG storages are full. Next week LPG price will drop further.
