Anti-Terrorism Court of Islamabad granted interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer Usman Gul in the case of attack on ex-first lady Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika in court premises.
The bail application was heard by Judge Tahir Abbas Supra of the Anti-Terrorism Court, Osman Riaz Gul appeared in the Anti-Terrorism Court along with lawyers Chaudhry Zaheer Khalid Yusuf, Sardar Higza.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing by granting interim bail to lawyer Usman Gul till June 12 on a bond of Rs 5,000.
It should be noted that Usman Gul filed a pre-arrest bail application in Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court today.
It may be recalled that the interim bail of other PTI lawyers Naeem Haider Panjutha, Ali Ijaz Battar Zahid Dar and Mirza Asim Baig was approved yesterday.
It should be remembered that on May 30, a case of attack on former first lady Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika was registered by the lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf in the court premises.
The case of the attack on Khawar Manika in the court premises was registered in Ramna police station of Islamabad, terrorism section was also included in the case.
It should be remembered that on May 29, after the hearing of the appeals against the sentence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Iddat Nikah case in the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, the lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khawar Manika’s husband was attacked outside the court while earlier in the court room there was a very bitter exchange between PTI lawyers and Khawar Manika.
As soon as Khawar Manika left the courtroom after giving arguments, PTI workers threw bottles at him, later PTI lawyers attacked Khawar Manika and tried to slap him. Manika fell on the ground and left the court premises saving her life.
Later, PTI leader Shibli Faraz said that Khawar Manika used bad words today, the judge should have stopped her, she has spoken immoral things, we are sorry for that. We know that today there is pressure on the courts, sitting on the post of justice you should do justice, these are just methods of delay so that bails cannot be given and relief cannot be given.
On this occasion, Umar Ayub said that it was a conspiracy to keep the former prime minister and Bushra Bibi bound, this case is over, the decision of this case was to come today. Khawar Manika’s provocative speech in the court, our colleagues showed prudence on it, we people remained silent for the release of Imran Khan, but this is not our weakness, it is our strength.
