LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore summoned the lawyers for the final discussion in the writer Khalilur Rehman honey trap case.
Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed heard the bail application of Mamnoon Haider, the accused who abducted Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar through a honey trap. The lawyer of the accused requested to adjourn the hearing. The court adjourned the hearing till October 5 due to the busyness of the lawyer.
The petitioner took the stand that it has nothing to do with the Khalilur Rehman honey trap case. Being a friend of the accused, he was implicated in the case. The police have not been able to produce any concrete evidence so far. Imprisonment of the petitioner without any offense is a violation of fundamental human rights. The court approves the bail and orders the release of the accused. The court summoned the lawyers of the case for final arguments.
