Indian superstar Yash has confirmed that he will play the role of Raavan in Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayan. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Ram and Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita.
There were many reports saying that Yash did not accept the role of Raavan, but in an interview given to Hollywood Reporter India, Yash denied the rumors and said that he is ready to play the role.
He added that Raavan was the only character he could consider for the film.
Yash said that he was first introduced to Ramayan during a conversation with Nimat Malhotra, who is the co-producer of the film. Yash liked Nemat’s passion and vision for the film, which made him decide to play the role of Raavan.
The actor said, “It’s a very interesting role and if I had been asked to play any other role in Ramayan, I would probably have refused. The character of Raavan has a lot of depth and nuances to be portrayed in a unique way.” Maybe. I’m very passionate about bringing out different aspects of this character.”
The production of the film is in full swing, and the film is expected to release in 2025.
