KARACHI: Transport Department’s Automated Fare Collection Smart Card System has been launched.
People Bus customers will now be able to pay their fare through automated fare collection smart card instead of cash.
According to the spokesperson of the Department of Transport, the smart card is currently usable in the People’s Bus service. Soon the automated fare collection smart card system will be extended to other public transport as well.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the Transport Department has started an automated fare collection system, under which passengers will be able to pay the fare through smart cards.
