KARACHI: Preliminary reports on the explosion near the airport have revealed that the attack was carried out by terrorists with the help of a foreign intelligence agency.
The CTD has submitted a preliminary report on the suicide bombing near the Karachi airport signal in the Anti-Terrorism Court, in which the suicide attack on Chinese engineers has been described as a conspiracy to damage relations between Pakistan and China.
According to the report, the Balochistan Liberation Army is involved in the suicide blast. The terrorists carried out the blast with the help of a foreign intelligence agency hostile to the country. The unidentified terrorist drove his vehicle near the vehicles of the Chinese convoy and detonated it.
The report submitted in the court further stated that the suicide blast took place in front of the CAA guard room near the Jinnah International Terminal exit signal. The police reached the spot after hearing the sound of the explosion and saw that the police, rangers and other people were injured. 3 people including 2 Chinese citizens Li Jun and Sun Huazhen died in the explosion.
More than 12 people including Waqar, Ilyas, Naeem, Rano Khan, Azim, Tariq, Ali, Hamza, Sabih were injured in the blast. The Balochistan Liberation Army accepted the responsibility of the suicide bombing.
15 vehicles were completely destroyed in the terrorist attack. A case of the incident was registered in the complaint of the SHO of Thana Airport. In the case registered in the CTD, murder, attempted murder, assault, explosives, terrorism and other provisions have been imposed.
