KARACHI: A shopkeeper was killed in a firing incident in Orangi Town, while a citizen killed a robber in Gulistan Johar.
A person was killed in the firing incident near Orangi Town Sector 11 Khalil Market, whose body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the victim was identified as 32-year-old Asif son of Asghar.
In this regard, SSP West Hafeezur Rehman Bugti said that the deceased Asif had closed his retail shop and was going to his home in Azim Nagar to break his fast on a bicycle some time before Iftar, that on the way, the unknown accused or accused for unknown reasons. But he was shot on the head from behind and killed.
He said that the crime scene unit has been called to collect evidence and information is being obtained in this regard, his mobile phone with a keypad was recovered from the deceased, but immediately they were not able to kill Asif. It would be premature to say anything about the motives.
Shehbaz, the brother of the deceased while talking to the media at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, said that we have no enmity with anyone, the incident is robbery resistance or any other reason is not known, while the deceased was unmarried.
The brother of the deceased said that my brother used to fast and used to close the shop before Iftar and come home and open the shop again after Maghrib. Why was the brother killed?
According to SHO Iqbal Market, a 9 mm pistol bullet shell has been recovered from the spot, the police are investigating all aspects of the incident and are trying to find the footage of the closed circuit cameras installed in the area. In order to obtain evidence regarding the accused involved in the incident, the body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after the process.
In Gulistan-Johar, robbers robbed a citizen in a car
In the Pahlwan Goth area of Gulistan Johar, the motorcycle-riding bandits snatched the mobile phone from the car-riding citizen at gunpoint and were fleeing from the scene, while the car-riding citizen opened fire on the bandits with the weapons he had. As a result, one robber was seriously injured while his accomplice managed to escape from the spot.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police and rescue personnel reached the spot and the seriously injured dacoit was being shifted to Jinnah Hospital where he died on the way.
In this regard, Head Editor Gulistan Johar Asim Siddiqui said that the dead bandit was identified as Siraj with the help of a local company card found in his pocket. With the help of the identity card number written on the card, his residence and criminal records are being checked, while the mobile phone of the citizen Sameer, who was riding in the car, was recovered from the possession of the dead robber, while the weapon was also recovered from the accused.
He said that the citizen in the car, a resident of Gulistan Johar, and his son had gone to buy something in a shop and he was waiting for him in the car when the robbers ran away after robbing them, then the citizen opened fire on them. However, the police are investigating further in this regard.
