Mumbai: Superstar Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898’ has crossed a new milestone and surpassed Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’.
According to Indian media, on the 40th day of its release, ‘Kalki 2898’ has made a business of 640.6 crores, which is more than the total business of Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster ‘Jawan’ of 640.2 crores.
The Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer has become the highest grossing film of 2024 after becoming the fourth highest grosser of Indian cinema.
According to Indian media sources, more than three crore tickets of the film have been sold so far in India alone and this is the biggest record for any Indian film after the Corona epidemic.
The film had a wide release in Singapore covering over 34 locations and 49 screens and in Australia it was released in over 143 locations and 400 screens.
‘Kalki 2898’ has had a wide release in 16 locations and over 500 screens in the Gulf countries, while it has also been released in North America.
With the release of the film, reviews started coming in from various film analysts and the action scenes of Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan in the film are being liked a lot.
According to some analysts, director Nag Eshon has created a new world and the story of the film is brilliant.
The film features Prabhas as a bounty hunter who is on a mission to track down a pregnant woman (Deepika Padukone) but there is a problem that Amitabh Bachchan would do anything to protect her.
Kamal Haasan plays the role of Supreme Yasin and the film also features a supporting cast like Saswata Chatterjee and Disha Patani.
Along with Rajamouli, the film also features powerful cameos by Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrinal Thakur, Ramgopal Varma.
