Islamabad: Justice Retired Maqbool Baqir resigned from becoming an ad hoc judge.
According to sources, Justice Retired Maqbool Baghi resigned from becoming an ad hoc judge due to personal reasons.
He had earlier expressed his support for becoming an ad hoc judge but now he has apologized due to personal domestic reasons. Justice Retired Maqbool Baqir also thanked for nominating ad hoc judge.
Before him, the former judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Retired Mushir Alam, has also resigned from becoming an ad hoc judge, while Justice Retired Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian Khel have agreed to be appointed as ad hoc judges.
Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is opposing the appointment of ad-hoc judges in the Supreme Court. Chairman PTI Barrister Gauhar termed the appointment of ad hoc judges in the Supreme Court as malicious and has also announced to send this decision to the Supreme Judicial Council.
