Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to stage a sit-in outside the Punjab Chief Minister’s House over the wheat crisis.
In the action plan committee meeting chaired by Liaquat Baloch, it was decided to hold a dharna outside the Chief Minister Punjab.
According to Liaquat Baloch, workers of Jamaat-e-Islami and Kisan Board started preparations for sit-in.
Liaquat Baloch said that Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman will announce the date of sit-in soon, he is with the farmers due to non-purchase of wheat in Punjab.
It should be remembered that during the press conference on May 2, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that if the Punjab government does not withdraw its decision not to buy wheat from farmers, he will announce a sit-in in front of the Chief Minister’s House.
He said that despite the presence of reserves and non-availability of dollars, the one billion dollar wheat import scam should be investigated by a judicial commission.
