An air defense system has been activated in Iran’s Isfahan province, while fighter jets have started flying in the south and west of Iraq. Iran has suspended flights to Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz.
Various places in Syria and Iraq were also targeted by Israel. Explosions were heard in al-Suwayda in Syria, and in Baghdad and Babylon in Iraq.
Earlier, Iran said that if Israel attacked, a strong response would be given. Iran has warned Israel that it will retaliate decisively if any further military action is taken against Iranian interests.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Abdullahian while addressing the Security Council meeting said that Iran has shown enough restraint so far. In view of the serious situation in the region, they are ready to give an opportunity to the United Nations to prevent the conflict from escalating further.
