Gaza: Despite Hamas agreeing to a 7-month cease-fire proposal by Qatar and Egypt, the aggressor Israel brazenly launched airstrikes on Rafah.
According to the World News Agency, in a statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, it has been said that the ceasefire proposals that Hamas has accepted from Qatar and Egypt are completely contrary to our demands, so it is necessary to meet with the mediators. A delegation will be sent.
The statement added that the country’s war cabinet has approved the continuation of the military operation on Rafah. For the implementation of which the Palestinian refugees have been asked to vacate the area immediately.
The Israeli army continued airstrikes on Rafah throughout the night, as a result of which 12 Palestinians have been martyred and dozens injured so far. Women and children are also among the martyred and injured.
The attacks on Rafah came after Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh announced his acceptance of a ceasefire proposal in a telephone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egyptian Intelligence Minister Abbas Kamil.
The United States also welcomed Hamas’ acceptance of the ceasefire proposal and demanded that Israel stop planning an attack on Rafah.
Qatar, Egypt and other countries also demanded that Israel refrain from attacking Rafah, but the aggressor Israel did not listen to anyone and implemented its war ambitions.
It should be remembered that the number of Palestinians martyred in the Israeli bombardment on Gaza since October 7 has exceeded 34,700, while more than 78,000 are injured.
