Israel has begun preparations to target Iran’s nuclear facilities after destroying Syria’s defense system.
According to an Israeli newspaper, Israeli military officials have said that the Israeli Air Force is preparing to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. Israel wants to take advantage of the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria and the weakening of pro-Iranian groups in Lebanon. According to the Israeli military, Iran should target Iran’s nuclear facilities to prevent it from further advancing its nuclear program and developing a bomb.
Iran has always denied developing nuclear weapons. Iran maintains that its space program and nuclear activities are purely for civilian purposes. US intelligence agencies and Israel say that Iran was working on a nuclear program for military purposes until 2003.
