ISLAMABAD: The High Court has directed to allow PTI to hold a rally in Islamabad.
Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq heard the petition against not allowing PTI to hold a rally in Islamabad.
The court directed the Islamabad administration to fulfill the conditions it has to impose.
The Chief Justice remarked that one’s right of assembly cannot be taken away.
PTI lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat Advocate said that we now want to hold a meeting on April 6 in Islamabad, on which the Chief Justice directed that you should only take care that there is no riot.
The State Council was of the view that the rally was not allowed due to security concerns and that the permission granted earlier had been violated.
The Chief Justice directed that there is no problem in applying the conditions which are normal, no abnormal conditions should be imposed which are allowed as per standard TOR.
Lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat said that the incident that happened yesterday was due to DC not allowing the meeting, we are ready for all kinds of conditions. The High Court remarked that the Chief Justices before me have also given permission, I have also ordered.
The public prosecutor said that there was a sad incident of terrorism yesterday, on which Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that life does not stop but goes on and we have to end terrorism in the same way.
The public prosecutor requested the court to give me time to take instructions. Chief Justice Amir Farooq said in his remarks that I am not asking for your consent, I have to make the decision.
