Islamabad: Contempt of court petitions were filed against Tehreek-e-Insaf for not allowing the rally and protest in Islamabad.
PTI Islamabad President Aamir Masood Mughal filed contempt petitions in which the Home Secretary, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and IG Islamabad were made parties.
The petitioner took the stand that despite the court order, the district administration did not decide on the petition, requesting that contempt of court action be taken against the parties.
It should be noted that Chief Justice Aamir Farooq had ordered the district administration and PTI to consult for the Islamabad Jalsa, while Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz had ordered the Deputy Commissioner to take a decision on the protest request today.
