Rome: Italy has called a meeting of the G7 countries to consider the situation after Iran launched a series of attacks on Israel in response to the attack on its embassy in Syria.
According to the world news agency, a brief statement on Italy’s G7 official website said that an emergency virtual meeting will be held today to discuss Iran’s attack on Israel.
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned Iran’s attack on Israel and said that at the G7 meeting, member countries will discuss the changing situation in the Middle East and propose proposals to end tensions.
Prime Minister Georgia Maloney added that she is deeply concerned about the instability in the region caused by an Iranian attack and will continue to work to change the situation.
It should be noted that an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council was also called after Iran’s brutal attacks on Israel.
