Washington: American and Israeli officials today issued a warning of an Iranian attack on Israel.
According to international media, three US and Israeli officials have claimed that they expect Iran to possibly attack Israel today.
In response to the recent killings of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, General Michael Corrella of the US Central Command visited Israel in anticipation of a possible Iranian attack on Israel.
US news website Axios reported, citing two US officials, that General Corella’s recent visit is being seen as a strategic move following recent tensions between Israel, Iran and Hezbollah.
Axios reported that Michael Korella’s visit is aimed at mobilizing allies at the international and regional levels and ensuring Israel’s defense, as it did against the Iranian attack on April 13.
The report added that three US and Israeli officials said they expected Iran to attack Israel today.
It should be noted that the leaders of Iran and Hezbollah vowed to avenge the killing of Hezbollah’s top military commander Fawad Shakar and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
