ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced to increase local production of oil and gas.
In a statement released by the company spokesperson, it has been stated that production is being started from Chanda Well No. 7 located in Kohat, which is producing 305 barrels of oil per day.
OGDCL said that the new well is producing 2.5 million cubic feet per day of gas which has been added to the Sui Northern network.
According to the spokesman, this oil and gas production will save 22.57 million dollars annually in the country’s import bill. Apart from this, the company announced the successful rehabilitation of Kunar Well No. 8 in Hyderabad district, after which production of 540 barrels of crude oil per day has started from the said well.
The additional production from this well will result in annual savings of US$ 15.949 million.
