Despite the fact that mobile phones are produced locally in the country, during the current fiscal year 2023-24, mobile phones have been imported with a total of one billion 148.4 million dollars with an increase of more than 100% in the import of mobile phones.
Statistics show that consumers using iPads and smartphones in Pakistan are preferring to buy mobile phones imported from abroad, Federal Bureau of Statistics.
