A special delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will meet Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi today.
According to the report, sources said that the special delegation of the IMF delegation will meet the Chief Justice today.
According to sources, during the meeting, the Chief Justice will brief the IMF delegation about the judicial system and its reforms.
On the other hand, three weeks before the start of the review talks for the second tranche of a billion dollar loan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva will meet in Dubai today.
The meeting was requested by Pakistan. The government of the United Arab Emirates is organizing the summit, and the Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other important cabinet members.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has been asked to join the meeting upon his return from Lisbon, Portugal. The purpose of the meeting between the IMF MD and the prime minister was not immediately known.
The IMF and the finance ministry did not comment on the meeting between the prime minister and the managing director.
