ISLAMABAD: FBR has removed the sales tax exemption on tractors and increased it by 4% following the condition of IMF.
According to the notification issued in this regard, the sales tax on locally manufactured and imported tractors has been increased from 10% to 14%.
According to FBR officials, sales tax exemption of 4% is still available on sale of tractors, 18% sales tax can be levied on tractors as per standard rate.
According to sources, tractors will become more expensive by 80 thousand rupees due to the increase of 4% sales tax.
