Former Pakistan cricket team captain and ICCT Twenty World Cup ambassador Shahid Afridi has said that I will never let Azam Khan come close to the team on fitness.
Talking to a private TV channel, he talked about the performance of wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan. He said that I also admire Azam Khan, he is strong, tough, his hitting is good.
Shahid Afridi said that while capping in English conditions he is holding the ball but in West Indies conditions the ball will stay down. Keeping up with this fitness, God forbid he faces difficulties in the World Cup.
He further said that you will have to put your body down on the condition of West Indies in T20 World Cup, I can only pray for them.
It should be noted that national cricketer Azam Khan has been criticized by many former cricketers regarding his fitness for selection in the Pakistan team. Azam Khan has also been included in the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup 2024 squad.
It should also be kept in mind that in the ongoing 4-match T20 series between England and Pakistan, Azam Khan is taking the wicketkeeping duties instead of Mohammad Rizwan.
