Mumbai: Renowned Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has said that Pakistan and India are the same for him, people of both countries love him.
Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who recently released the series ‘Hiramundi: The Diamond Bazaar’, spoke openly about the love he received from Pakistani fans.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali said in his interview that I have shown the Muslim characters of Lahore in my series ‘Hiramundi: The Diamond Bazaar’ and for my decision I have got a lot of love from Pakistan as well as India.
The filmmaker said that I had thought of casting Pakistani actors in the series but it was not possible, despite this, my series is also gaining popularity in Pakistan.
He said that Pakistani fans were impatiently waiting for the release of the series ‘Hiramundi: The Diamond Bazaar’, through this series the fans of both countries have come closer.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that before the partition of India and Pakistan, we were all the same, our culture and customs were also the same.
The filmmaker added that there is a lot of love between the people of both the countries but there are some people who are creating problems on both sides and I don’t pay attention to such people.
It should be noted that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has entered the OTT platform through the web series ‘Hira Mandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ released on Netflix on May 1.
The mega cast of this series includes Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditya Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sherman Segal and Fardeen Khan.
