MUMBAI: The 16th season of the popular Indian TV show ‘Kon Banega Crorepati’ has started, hosted by the king of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan.
Season 16 of Amitabh Bachchan’s show ‘Koon Banega Crorepati’ has started from 12th August this month, fans are excited to see Big B of Bollywood hosting the show once again as season 15 of the show. After the actor’s emotional message in the last episode, fans thought that he might not be hosting the next season.
Fans of the actor are curious about how much Amitabh Bachchan charges for hosting this popular show, now a report has come out in the Indian media.
According to Indian media reports, Amitabh Bachchan used to get around 25 lakh rupees per episode in the first season (2000) of ‘Kun Banega Crorepati’, but after the popularity of the show, the actor’s remuneration also increased.
The report stated that by the fourth season of the show, Amitabh Bachchan’s salary had doubled, he was getting Rs 50 lakh per episode of the show in season 4.
Till season 6 of the show, Amitabh Bachchan used to earn up to Rs 1.5 crore per episode, whereas in the eighth season of ‘Kun Banega Crorepati’, the actor’s salary increased to more than Rs 2 crore.
According to media reports, Amitabh Bachchan used to get Rs 2.6 crore per episode in season 9, while in season 10, the salary increased to Rs 3 crore per episode.
Amitabh Bachchan was paid Rs 3.5 crore per episode from the 11th to 13th season of ‘Kun Banega Crorepati’ while he was paid Rs 4 crore per episode in the 14th season of the show.
According to Indian media reports, Amitabh Bachchan is getting paid Rs 5 crore per episode for the 16th season of ‘Kun Banega Crorepati’.
