Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa in the Supreme Court on the issue of letter of 6 judges of Islamabad High Court.
The meeting between Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lasted for one hour and 20 minutes. After the meeting, the Prime Minister left the Supreme Court.
The Chief Justice had sent a message to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the letter written by the judges of Islamabad High Court.
Along with the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Law Minister Nazir Tarar and Attorney General Mansoor Awan were also present in the meeting. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, was also present in the meeting.
It should be noted that a full court meeting of the Supreme Court was held yesterday under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice, which will be held again today.
On the other hand, on the issue of the letter of 6 judges of Islamabad High Court, the Pakistan Bar Council has also called an important meeting of the Executive Committee on April 5, in which the Pakistan Bar Council will decide the future course of action on the current situation.
A request to form an inquiry commission was also filed in the Supreme Court on the letter of the judges, in which the federal government and 6 judges of the Islamabad High Court were also made parties.
