Islamabad: The martyrdom of Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Hussain Abdullahian and other high-profile figures will be mourned today in Pakistan as well.
In the context of the martyrdom of the Iranian President and other top government officials, the Cabinet Division has issued a formal notification to celebrate the day of mourning on Tuesday. According to which, on May 21, the national flag will also be at half-mast across the country.
President Asif Zardari expressed deep sorrow and regret over the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved.
He said that President Ibrahim Raisi was a great supporter of the unity of the Muslim Ummah. The world of Islam lost a great leader and Pakistan mourns the loss of a great friend.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in his condolence statement that on behalf of the Pakistani nation and government, I express my condolences to Iran for the tragic loss. Ibrahim Raisi always gave a special place to Pakistan and its people.
It should be noted that on Sunday, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was returning to Tabriz after inaugurating a dam in the border area of Azerbaijan. It lost contact with other helicopters.
