3 Israeli soldiers were killed and several wounded in the Hamas operation in northern Gaza.
According to the Times of Israel, the dead include Combat Corps Master Sergeant Gideon Derv, Captain Israel Yudkin, Staff Sergeant Eliyahu Haim Amsalim.
Amsalim and Yudkin were killed in a Hamas sniper attack in the Beit Hanoun area and a soldier was seriously wounded, while a third soldier, Gideon Daro, was killed by an explosive device detonation in a building. Two other soldiers were also seriously injured in the same explosion.
These deaths brought the number of soldiers killed during ground operations against Hamas to 286.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by Israel, it also claimed responsibility for the airstrike on the UN school in Nasirat, central Gaza. The school is managed by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Israel has also accused Anwar of aiding Hamas in Gaza, but the United Nations has rejected the allegations, saying Israel has not provided evidence for the allegations.
It should be noted that more than 35,000 Palestinians have been martyred so far in Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
