KARACHI: New Gwadar International Airport has set a milestone for flight calibration and flight procedure design, the aircraft was given a water salute on the runway.
According to sources, New Gwadar International Airport has achieved an important milestone, this milestone was achieved with the successful landing of Civil Aviation’s calibration aircraft on the new runway.
It should be noted that after the construction of the runways at the domestic airports, before the air operation, the overall aspects of landing and take-off are checked by the special aircraft of the Civil Aviation Authority.
The calibration flight was treated to a traditional water cannon salute by the Rescue and Fire Fighting Services upon arrival at the airport, a significant achievement as a result of the joint efforts of the Chinese and Pakistani project teams.
The airport is expected to be completed and operational in the fourth quarter of this year, the completion of the New Gwadar International Airport will bring development to Gwadar and its surrounding areas.
