The government approved the mega project “Gwadar Freight Train Project”, which aims to connect the Gwadar port with the rest of the country, especially the hinterland of Balochistan, which is a major development.
According to Gwadar Pro, the Gwadar Freight Train Project under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan will strengthen inland connectivity, increase cargo flows.
According to the Gwadar City and Port Master Plan, construction of track along Koh Buttal and East Bay Expressway is planned. For this purpose Gwadar Port Authority and Port Operator have started clearing infrastructure along the route.
