ISLAMABAD: 84% of the people of Pakistan have declared tax evasion as a mistake while supporting paying taxes.
In a new survey released by Gallup Pakistan based on public opinion, pro-tax Pakistanis have termed tax evasion as wrong and very harmful to the country’s economy.
In the survey, 11 percent of Pakistanis supported tax evasion and justified this practice, while two percent of Pakistanis in the survey took a neutral position on not paying taxes despite having the opportunity, neither openly supporting nor opposing paying taxes.
