Lahore: Former PCB Chairman and renowned diplomat Shehryar M Khan passed away in Lahore.
Shahryar Khan was also the national cricket team manager, 2-time PCB chairman and foreign secretary. Shahryar Khan’s family has confirmed his death.
Shahryar M. Khan was born on March 29, 1934 in Lucknow, India. He did his primary education there and then did his higher education in England. After the partition of India, Shehryar Khan’s family migrated to Pakistan and settled in Karachi.
Shehryar M. Khan was a well-known diplomat. He was also the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan. Apart from this, he was also the manager of the national cricket team and 2-time chairman PCB. The deceased was the cousin of former Indian captain Nawab Mansoor Khan Pataudi and was an expert in India-Pakistan cricket diplomacy.
Shahryar Khan suddenly fell ill at home at 4:30 am on Saturday morning, after which he met his true creator. The age of the deceased was 89 years. He is survived by a widow and 4 children. The body of the deceased will be brought to Karachi by Air Ambulance and the funeral prayer will be offered in Karachi itself.
