KARACHI: Nabi Bakhsh, the successor of the former leader of the Lyari gang war Rehman Dakit, who is considered a symbol of terror in Lyari, was killed by the police in an alleged encounter while his accomplice was caught injured.
According to the details, Nabi Bakhsh Police killed a bandit in an alleged exchange of fire near Civil Defense Area Jubilee Market between Sunday and Monday, while his accomplice was arrested in an injured state, the dead bandit’s body and the injured. Edhi was shifted to civil hospital by ambulance.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the accused who was killed was identified as 25-year-old Saraban Baloch son of Abdul Rehman Baloch, while the arrested accused was identified as 28-year-old Maqsood Shah son of Mohsin Shah. Two pistols, four confiscated mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the dead and injured accused.
The slain accused was the son of former leader of Lyari gang war, Abdul Rehman Baloch alias Rehman Dakit, a case has been registered against the dead and injured accused under the provisions of the Police Encounter, Attempted Murder, and Arms Act among others.
