Islamabad: Senator Faisal Vawda while talking to the media said that the decision of the Standing Committee on Finance to stop the purchase of vehicles is welcome, many things were stopped in the first government, they will still stop it.
Pakistan will not be allowed to lose billions of rupees, from whom to buy vehicles worth 6 billion rupees, a summary was made to benefit a company, you will not allow this to happen if you buy expensive vehicles instead of cheap ones.
The day the issue of purchasing vehicles came up, everyone was told that this is going wrong, today the cabinet members sitting in the committee believed that this is wrong, the FBR has no answer for the purchase of vehicles.
Earlier, in the Senate Standing Committee on Finance meeting, Committee Member Faisal Vawda said that there is a tax shortfall of Rs 386 billion, eliminate it first, if vehicles are purchased, I will go to NAB against them.
He said that the FBR is purchasing vehicles from specific companies, what bigger scandal can there be than the fact that a contract is being made with a swindler? This is a huge scandal, the beginning of corruption has been opened.
He said that vehicles are being purchased to meet the FBR’s tax shortfall, the purchase should be stopped for now and then there should be talk of purchasing through competition.
If this purchase is not stopped, it will be a huge corruption scandal. We will support the FBR to meet the revenue shortfall and then purchase vehicles.
